I’ve been thinking about what I want GridPractice to become.
At first, I thought it would just be a place for the websites, layouts, and little projects I make. But I realized that one of the things I genuinely enjoy is looking at something messy and figuring out how to make it simpler.
Maybe your business has a spreadsheet that has gotten completely out of hand. Maybe a report takes hours to prepare every week. Maybe your team keeps doing the same manual task over and over, or there’s a process that only one person knows how to do.
Those are the kinds of problems I like working on.
So I’m trying something new with GridPractice: give me a problem, and I’ll show you how I would approach it.
If you have something that’s been bothering you, tell me what you’re trying to do, what’s making it difficult, and how you’re doing it today. It can be something as simple as “I spend three hours every Friday preparing this report” or “we have six spreadsheets that are supposed to talk to each other but don’t.” You don’t need to know what the solution should be. That’s the part I want to figure out.
I’ll pick some of the submissions and turn them into GridPractice case studies. I’ll break down the problem, show how I would approach it, what I might change or automate, what tools could help, and what the finished solution could look like.
It could be a better workflow, dashboard, report, automation, AI solution, website, online store, or sometimes just a much simpler way of doing things.
Have a problem? Tell me about it.
No obligation to hire me. I’m doing this because I want to build a portfolio around real problems, not made-up projects.
And who knows — your annoying spreadsheet might become my next GridPractice case study. 😅
